About Second Verse

Hi — I’m Scott.

I play a handful of instruments, I DJ around San Francisco, and like every musician I know, my phone is full of songs that stop after the first verse.

They didn’t stop because they were bad. They stopped because the person who could finish them wasn’t in the room — the singer for the hook, the friend who hears the bridge I can’t.

Second Verse is for that moment. Put up what you have. Let the right people build on it. Hear what they made, choose what the song keeps, and never lose track of who made what.

I wanted it to feel closer to sending a voice memo than filling in a form. Plain words, nothing you make ever overwritten, and your name on every part you play.

We’re opening the beta a few musicians at a time. If you’ve got a folder of unfinished songs, I built this for you.

What we won’t compromise on

  • Your work keeps your name

Credit is recorded as you make things, not reconstructed later.

  • Nothing is overwritten

Choosing a version never deletes another. History is permanent.

  • Private means private

A private song is invisible to everyone you didn’t invite — even its existence.

  • Plain words

Built for musicians. No jargon, no engineering vocabulary.

Your next song is half-finished somewhere.

Join the beta and be one of the first to finish it with someone new.
